Growth Collaborative's Diversity Statement

At Growth Collaborative, diversity is embraced and celebrated. We are committed to safeguarding a workplace and culture that is safe for all consumers, stakeholders, and staff (physically, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually, and culturally). We believe we can provide a richer and deeper service with our genuine desire to champion diverse ways of thinking and living. Growth Collaborative aspires to provide services that are equitable, accessible, and inclusive for all.

In the development and continuous improvement of our services, there is extensive consideration of the unique needs of people from diverse groups, such as the following:

  • Culturally and linguistically diverse communities

  • People from varying ages and capabilities

  • People with mental health challenges and people with a lived experience

  • Carers and families supporting people with a disability

  • Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders

  • People from a range of socioeconomic backgrounds

  • Ethnicity

  • Gender and

  • People who identify as LGBTIQ+.

At Growth Collaborative, we strive for cultural safety and cultural competency within our service design and service delivery. We approach diversity and inclusion through evidence-based practices. We aim to actively create psychologically safe spaces and physical places where people can proudly share what makes them diverse. At Growth Collaborative, we promote inclusiveness by seeking to understand, consider and apply values upheld by everyone linked with our services.

We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and, as per Anti-Discrimination Act (2004) and are committed to the principles of equality, fairness, and respect for all people. We appreciate and recognises the important experience, knowledge, and skill set that people from diverse backgrounds bring to our organisation. We treat all staff fairly, regardless of diversity dimensions. Our understanding and openness to diversity enriches our ability to responsively support the development of cultural safety and cultural capability for our staff.

Growth Collaborative acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Traditional Owners of Australia, and their continuing connection to land, sea, and community.  We pay our respects to the Elders, past, present, and emerging, and to all First Peoples. We consult with and engage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Island people in service design and delivery, and champion Closing the Gap outcomes.

We believe that every interaction is an opportunity for us to take further steps towards deepening the authenticity of GC’s operational application of our diversity statement.  We are committed to continuous quality improvement and advancing our organisation’s diversity and inclusion, through evaluation, monitoring, and feedback.
